8.1.4. Blocked Sites
The Blocked Sites tab allows you to create a list of specific Web sites that will always be blocked.
Access to these sites will be blocked even if you have allowed access to their associated categories
You can upload an existing list of domains and IP Addresses to be blocked by utilizing the More
Options button and clicking on the Upload List button
A total of 250 Blocked Sites may be entered per policy
The existing Blocked Sites List file must:
be a text file with a 100k size limit
contain one entry per line
You also can download a list to your local drive by clicking the Download Trusted Sites List button. It
downloads the list to a file in CSV format in Microsoft Excel.
8.1.5. Notifications - Customize Blocked Pages
The notifications tab allows you to customize the Blocked Page that users associated to this policy
will view when they attempt to access a URL that has the content action of Deny, or is categorized
as a Threat.
The default Notification text and tags are displayed. You can remove or edit the existing text, and
add new text and URLS.
You can view the notification in either standard view (default view), or you can view the Source
information by clicking the Source Edit button.
Standard View allows for editing directly on the notifications page that. Place your mouse anywhere
within the Notification page to customize your blocked page message.
Source View
Web pages typically consist of graphics and text written in HTML. The source view allows you to
see the
HTML source code used to generate the notification page. When viewing the Source code, y
ou can
learn things like what kind of analytics and what CSS styles the coder applied.
