McAfee SaaS Email Protection Training Guide – Group Administrator Role
Proprietary and Confidential Page 6-7
No Users – disables the delivery of the SQR. This does not stop messages classified as spam
from being quarantined.
Delivery of the SQR
The SQR will be delivered automatically to the user when the following criteria are met:
The user has a user account in the control console
The customer is not in a Disaster Recovery State
The users SQR delivery Frequency applies
The user has messages quarantined due to Spam
Spam Quarantine Report Security Settings
Report Links: this determines for how long the links in the users Spam Quarantine Report will
remain active. By default, the links are active for 7 days. This allows the user to access their user
account to see if there are any new messages quarantined throughout the day, or to change their
user settings.
Note:
The Report links drop list selection does not designate how long messages remain in
quarantine; that is not a customer configurable option. The Report links drop list identifies how long
the links (tabs) in the user’s received SQR remain active. Once the links (tabs) expire in an SQR, the
user can no longer use that SQR to access the Control Console.
Restrict User Rights when accessing the quarantine from spam quarantine report.
If checked, when a user accesses their user account from their SQR their permissions will be
restricted to those of the role of User.
E.g. if a Customer Administrator accesses his user account via his SQR, he will only have access to
his user account, and not full Customer Administrator permissions, as he would have if he signed
into the control console from the Sign in page.
Other Options
Allow users to personalize spam filtering actions
This option is disabled by default and when enabled, this gives the user the ability to identify what
actions to take when messages are classified as Medium and High likelihood spam. These user
level settings would override the settings on the policy level Spam-Classification page.
Allow users to personalize delivery frequency
This option is disabled by default and when enabled, this will give the user the ability to identify how
frequently their SQR will be delivered. The user level setting would override the frequency set on
the policy level Spam Reporting page.
Allow users to personalize report type
This option is enabled by default and allows the user to choose whether their SQR should be HTML
or Text based. If HTML is selected, the ability to select the HTML format of with or without actions
is also available. These user level settings would override the Report Type and HTML format set on
the policy level Spam Reporting page.
